Kelly Lewis – Card Services Manager – Operations
Congratulations to Kelly Lewis, the November Benchmark Service All-Star of the Month Award recipient! Just before noon, members of the Executive team and Human Resources made a special visit to the Operations building to present Kelly with the All-Star Trophy. As her peers and colleagues read their nominations, Kelly was moved to tears by their heartfelt comments. LeAnne and Holly congratulated her on receiving the All-Star Award and expressed their appreciation for her dedication to Benchmark, her team, and the customers. Her selfless actions, both personally and professionally, exemplify BCB's caring culture. It was noted that this was not Kelly's first nomination as she and several members of her team were selected for the 2023 All Star of the Year!

I am writing to nominate Kelly Lewis for the prestigious All Star Award. Kelly embodies the epitome of dedication, hard work, and compassion, both within our workplace and in our community. As a manager, Kelly consistently exceeds expectations, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a tireless work ethic. Her commitment to her role is unwavering, and she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the success of her team and the satisfaction of our customers. Kelly's passion for her work is palpable, and her positive attitude is infectious, inspiring those around her to strive for excellence. Beyond her professional achievements, Kelly's kindness and compassion shine brightly in her interactions with others. Her recent act of selflessness in being matched as a bone marrow donor for a little boy in need is a testament to her extraordinary character. Throughout the process, Kelly has maintained a smile on her face and an unwavering enthusiasm, showcasing her genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Kelly's dedication to her community and her willingness to extend a helping hand to those in need exemplify the values of our organization. I am nominating Kelly Lewis for the All Star award. Kelly consistently embodies Benchmark’s ideals in both her professional and personal life. No matter how busy she is, she is always willing to help where needed, often taking on projects and going above and beyond expectations. As a manager, Kelly creates an environment of trust and support. Her team knows they can come to her with any problem, and she takes the time to teach them, ensuring they gain the confidence to handle difficult situations independently. Her leadership style not only promotes growth within her team but also inspires others around her. Outside of work, Kelly balances the demands of being a working mom and wife while actively volunteering in her community. She regularly donates to the Red Cross and recently made the extraordinary decision to become a bone marrow donor for a young boy with cancer. Kelly's unwavering positivity is infectious, motivating everyone she interacts with. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this award.

Over the last 2 weeks, issues with our ATM fleet abounded. Kelly has navigated a persistent problem with a down ATM in one branch while simultaneously over the last week adding to that issues with ATM deposits no reflecting on customer accounts. Kelly has worked tirelessly. She navigated vendors- from FIS to Diebold to Loomis- and put in many long days. Our customers were at the center of her efforts as these events impacted their ability to access their funds. I am thankful for her command of the situation, her focus on how this affected our teams and customers, and her example as a leader. Kelly exemplified Be the E behaviors as she was empowered, entrusted and engaged in a resolution. Well done, Kelly!
NOMINATION by Susan Jenkins:
A couple of weeks ago, I had a customer contact me who was out of the country. He was unable to use his cards which sometimes happens in other countries even when we do a travel alert. I texted Kelly at about 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon, which was also her wedding anniversary that I did not know. Kelly responded immediately and said, " let me get logged on real quick". Kelly was able to assist me and help to get the customers card back functioning within the hour. When we say we go the Extra Mile, Kelly puts the EXTRA in that phrase. Not only does she help our customers and our staff, Kelly goes above and beyond to help everyone she knows, even those she doesn't know as was demonstrated earlier this year when she became a bone marrow donor. Kelly is truly part of what makes Benchmark Community Bank an Amazing Institution, and makes me proud to call her a true ALL STAR, friend and co-worker. Well done Kelly, as always.
